A Facebook user has expressed her disbelief and uploaded pictures of her covered in a yellow towel from the waist down after she was allegedly barred from entering the Sungai Buloh Hospital for not covering her knees.
Previously it was a sarong that made headlines and today towel, when a girl was reportedly asked to cover her legs with a towel.
One Facebook user expressed her disbelief
and uploaded pictures of herself covered in a yellow towel from the
waist down and her posting has since gone viral, capturing the attention
of Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, among others, who also shared it on her
Facebook wall.
“Have to borrow patients towel to visit
patients,” the posting read and has made rounds in several social media
groups since it was posted two days ago.
According to her explanation on her
Facebook post, the incident happened when she was trying to visit a
patient at the Sungai Buloh Hospital and upon being blocked by the
guards, allegedly for wearing shorts well above the knees, her father
had to rush in and borrow a towel just so that she could go in.
The online portal quoted the director as saying that it was not the
policy of the ministry or the hospital to bar anyone from entering the
hospital based on attire.“However, we encourage the public to dress decently when visiting patients.”
